(Note: in case you haven’t read my blog posts in the past, I tend to be a bit of a snark. If that isn’t your cup of caffeinated beverage, you might want to go elsewhere. However, I do have my limits. While I will freely snark on the contestants, the hosts, the cooking, and the “guests” – I will not snark on the charities who are in line to benefit from this show.)

The first episode starts out the way you would expect: with the introduction of the “celebrities.” Here they are, in the order in which they came through the door:

Deadline.com EXCLUSIVE: Cheech Marin has been tapped to co-star opposite Rob Schneider in the actor’s untitled CBS comedy, which recently received an order for another pilot and several backup scripts as it remains in strong midseason consideration. The multi-camera comedy, which Schneider co-wrote with Lew Morton based on the actor’s real-life experience, stars Schneider as Rob, a confirmed bachelor who has just married into a tight-knit Mexican-American family. The retooling of the CBS Studios/Tannenbaum Co. project includes recasting three family members, Rob’s wife and her parents. Marin will play Rob’s father-in-law Fernando, a role played in the original pilot by Ugly Betty alum Tony Plana. In addition to Schneider, returning from the first pilot are Eugenio Derbez as the wife’s uncle and Lupe Ontiveros as her grandmother. This past development season, Marin co-starred in another family comedy pilot, Fox’s Outnumbered. Marin, managed by Anonymous Content, next reprises the voice of Ramone in Cars 2.

Tommy Chong will present his “Comedy at 420” show on Saturday August 27th as part of the LOL Comedy Festival in San Bernadino, CA. The LOL Comedy Festival, to be held August 25 – 28 at the California Theatre for the Performing Arts will feature more than 20 comedians performing, including Snoop Dogg Presents The Bad Girls of Comedy, Anthony Clark, Steve Trevino, Melanie Comarcho, Ian Bagg, Monique Marvez, Willie Barcena and more. The outdoor festival also will have food and beverage vendors. 11 shows will be filmed for Showtime Network’s LOL Comedy Series.

This Sunday’s episode of the Fox sitcom will feature guest appearances by Richard “Cheech” Marin and Tommy Chong, as they arrive at Springfield as part of their reunion tour.

From there, however, the pair splits up, with a new duo forming that’s comprised of Homer and Cheech (“Cheech and Chunk”) and another of Skinner and Chong (“Teach and Chong”). Confused? Return to TV Fanatic soon after the installment airs for a complete rundown, along with an updated section of The Simpsons quotes.

“There is a Cars 2. I’ve just signed a deal for it, so it will be out,” the actor, who voices Ramone in the lucrative animated film, announced.

The Cheech And Chong star came out to party with his young fans in Los Angeles as the movie launched its very own interactive website WorldofCars.com

“You can go on to this online site and there are a zillion doors in it, you can make a new car, get in to a game, get your fortune told, you can go to the moon,” Cheech explained.

The actor revealed he hadn’t anticipated how huge the first movie would be.

“It’s amazing, I’ve never seen anything like it, and I’ve been in a lot of hits.

“The ancillaries that have come out of this movie, I’m in the studio all the time doing voices for Cars. When will it stop?” he laughed.

The actor said to get in to character he simply has to “channel my inner low-rider and away I go.”

Cheech laughed about how he’s become incredibly cool to kids of a certain age.

“I do the voice and they’re like star struck. It’s like Leonardo DiCaprio or the Jonas Brothers,” he said.
