Peter Boyle

This is the second Peter Boyle blog today...I
accidently deleted that first one.
Peter Boyle was responsible for Cheech and Chong. I
was Chicago playing guitar in a Motown group called
Bobby Taylor and the Vancouvers. we were playing at
the famous Regal Theatre along with Jerry Butler and
an unknown opening act called The Jacksons later to be
known as the Jackson Five. We palayed there for a week
so we had some down time to check out the bluse club.
I wandered into a club called The Second City and
experienced a night that would change my life forever.
I was introduced to improvisational theatre. It was a
stlye of theatre where the actors riffed like jazz
musicans making things up as they acted with each
other. Peter Boyle was one of the stars of that show.
He was the funniest actor I had ever seen in my life.
The origional cast of Second City were incredible.
They were the most talented group ever in the history
of Second City and Peter Boyle was one of the
standouts in the field of both comedy and serious
acting. i am honored to have worked with him in
Yellowbeard where he took Cheech and I under his wing
and showed us where to go and what to do on location.
Peter was a very caring and giving person and I will
remember his kindness and talent forever....tc

Vietnam

We are here in Vietnam. Ho Chi Min City to be exact
and the people here are the sweetest most polite
loving angels on this planet. I see now why they won
the war...they are unbeatable on every level! In fact
the only area where the USA has it over on them is in
the field of corruption and exploitation! No one comes
close to the US in those areas. The city which used to
be known as Saigon is bustling with 8 million scooter
riders. They all feel the need to get on the road
about 5 pm. It is organized chaos between the hours of
4 pm until 6 pm...I have been shooting videos like
crazy! We toured an ancient Chinese Temple where we
burned incense and made a wish....Most of the folks
here are Buddhists and are extremely gentle and
giving. People ride their car/truck horns constantly
however there is no sign of road rage here at all! How
we could inflict the kind of harm we inflicted on
these people is way beyond my understanding. It is
strange seeing the American Embassy being guarded by
Vietnamese Communist Guards now. It is as if they are
guarding a trophy they won in the war!...The mood here
is one of peace and utter chaos and I love it!....tc

Merry Hemp Mas

Merry Potmas or should I say Merry Hempmas! Yeah I
like Hempmas mo better...Well only two more days until
we leave for Bali...and my first holiday in three
years! I really don't count being 9 months in jail as
a "vacation" although in a lot of ways it was. We saw
the new James Bond movie yesterday and wow! they
really could use some calming herbal smoke. In fact I
miss the laid back days of the Cheech and Chong
movies. I may be the Chong but I am a huge Cheech and
Chong fan and I miss the simple honest loving message
that those movies showed. No one lost their lives. No
one was shot. No one was butchered or beat up! Still
this Goverment found me dangerous enough to be locked
up for 9 months for making those movies! I think it is
time to do another one which is why I am in the middle
of a couple of projects that will bring back that
simple loving feeling. I will make the announcments as
soon as we make the deals with the movie companies.
This is gonna happen right after the New Year. Yeah!
It's time to recapture that honest uplifting feeling
again. I did it before and I shall do it again. Peace rules....tc

overdue blog

Hey man...only a few days to go then I am off to Bali
for Christmas! Yea..It is gonna be a blast! And don't
worry i know all about the drug laws in those places!
I saw Midnight Express and I no longer smoke so I am
cool. I not only don't smoke anything but I also deny
smoking even when I get caught! And I haven't been
caught yet because well I no longer smoke! I feel
everyone in America is a snitch so even if i did smoke
I would deny it because this is what we do here in
America...We are all in denial! Especially when it
comes to smoking the fabulous herb. Hey I just been
reminded that i am going to be in Vancouver Washington
tomorrow signing books at Maryjanes Smoke shop and
Book store....Dec 5th from I guess two oclock until
the crowd is gone. I better get on the ball here and
find out where my ticket is at!....I'll let you all
know how the signing went on the next blog! In the
meantime..Merry Christmas and Happy High Year!
