Hey man, I am back in L.A. and the weather is ...LA
it never changes! I do want to live in New York and
write my next book. I have it all planned but I don't
want to jinx it by saying anything until it is
written. The Sunday show in New York was great! We had
so much fun because you really have to work hard to
get laughs in New York! I guess it is because the
people are so diverse. There are what? 20 million
people in and around New York yet it is one place
where you can be totally alone! a little fish in an
ocean. When you do comedy in New York you have to get
personal...the audience makes you dig deep and that is
the challenge. It doesn't matter how famous you are
either becauuse there are so many things to do in New
York that you are just a little fish in a giant pond.
Puts every thing into perspective. But we are back
home! I am waiting for my ACE partner even to pick me
up. My Prius is in the shop getting a face lift! I am
creating a "hot rod" Prius..making the little gas
saver look good. My electric low rider the ACE is now
in the final stages. I am going to shoot (film) it for
our "reality show". Oh the show is being editted as I
write. Thank you for your comments but I nmeed more..I
will have more exciting news tomorrow...I have to
think out my new move....tc

We are still in New York...

We are still in New York and man I fucked up! I forgot
to mention we were on the Serius Comedy late night
program. This is a great show that takes requests and
playa various comedy bits from new comic and old
comics. The show is hosted by a fantastic New York
comic named Pete Dominick who you can call direct at
1-866-4RAWDOG...Shelby and I were on the show Friday
and had the best time. Pete kept hitting on Shelby but
that's only natural because he is Italian...sort of a
culture habit! The show Friday went quite well
considering we are west-coast comics however Saturday
was a disco party where the music? was ear-splitting
loud and everyone was in costume and alcohol-friendly.
Needless to say we did not do comedy....too much
competation..The costumes were quite origional and
well done. The club itself is probably the best comedy
club in New York for commedians with the back stage
dressing rooms and the perfect stage..It just needs
time to catch on. I predict that in less than a year
there will be lineups around the block...It would make
a perfect jazz club as well....Oh and thanks for the
comments. Yes I did smoke up with Bob Marley, George
Harrison, Kareem, and a host of others. It was
historical. I am not going to smoke until after the
elections. We gotta vote the Dems in...tc

Hey thanks for all the comments. Ok The movie will not
be shot this year due to Cheech's committment to
Duets..I will need a few months to get that one out of
my head. I am sending Cheech to Chicano rehab along
with Geraldo and we will see how they both turn out
before I make a decision. Thank you for your comments
about our show. We have fun doing them but it is
always nice to hear positive things. New York is rainy
and cold and it looks like the club might not be full
however we will do our show have fun then worry about
getting paid. Ah the life of a road comic. Radio chick
was awesome...her show really gets into the nitty
gritty and her partner is a funny man. The whole show
rocks hard! It looks like we are going to be appearing
on the Bryon Allen show ( after Kimble) when we
return to LA> I will keep you all posted on that one.
Man I am still on my smoke fast but I tell ya I am
beginning to waver....not much but ....still. I miss
the calmness it gives me. Well as soon as one law
making it legal passes I am going to jump off that
wagon and toke up! So get out and vote you stoners so
I can end the fast....fast!....tc

Going to New York sorry but I can't take you. We be
playing a gig at Comixs comedy club in the Meat
packing District....( Is this a gay area?)
Anyway this is where we will be for the next four
days. Saturday we will be hosting a Halloween Party.
Halloween used to be my favorite time of year.
Halloween is a dangerous holiday. This is when people
get crazy! People lose inhibitions when they are
wearing costumes masks etc..You can understand why
bank robbers wear masks! It really gets them into the
"mood.
I would love to visit Toronto ans see my grandson Jack
but unfortunatly we won't have the time. One more gig
in Tampa then it's off to Bali for a Christmas
vacation. This will be the first vacation we have
taken in three years! I know you all feel sorry for
me...I know it...well hope someone reads this and
comments...I hate it when there are no comments...I
feel neglected when there are no comments. So comment gaddamit!....tc

Man I have been wasted all day! Not stoned wasted but
...wasted...tired! I guess the gig in La Jolla took it
out of me.
I had a ozone treatment today and I slept through it!
Art, the medical guy who does the treatment usually
gives me a lesson on nutrition diet etc but I passed
out before he could say anything. Oh well. Art's tips
are great! Its all about eating live food ( raw) as
opposed to "dead" food ( cooked). I am really into the
"diet" thing mainly because i am getting old and i
want to be a healthy and happy old fart as opposed to
a grumpy unhealthy old fart! Nothing more miserable
than a sick old man! So I am careful what I put into
my body. I do miss my weed however! I miss that
creative feeling weed gives one. That "wow" did I make
that up or did see it somewhere? A good pot high can
inspire genius provided we are starting with genius. I
recently saw a saying that made me stop and ..copy for
this blog.
"You cannot teach the Absolute" " You can only
experience the Absolute" Is this heavy or what? Ok

Hey everybody, I am back! I tried blogging the last
two days but no luck! I hope this one goes through.
Anyway we filmed the La Jolla gigs and had the wildest
crowd ever in a comedy club! It was so fantastic.
Seems like everyone was baked beyond belief but
laughing in all the right places. And laughing hard.
Shelby did some new bits we wrote on the way to the
club and she killed! Wow! La Joll Comedy Store is the
best little comedy club in....La Jolla by far!
We stayed in a great hotel called Tower23 in Pacific
Beach in San Diego! The hotel was like a great acid
trip! Overlooking the beach and the surfers doing
their thing. The bar was packed with some of the
finest ladies on this Planet...and apparently the guys
were hot too because Shelby would comment every once
in a while on the hot guys! I never looked at the guys
because my attention was...well...on the show! Yeah
thats it! I was concentrating on the show....I did a
couple of books signings and talks Saturrday and
Sunday in Escondito and North Town. One was in the
town liberary and the other was in a Mason Lodge. Very
trippy places for Tommy Chong I'll tell ya! I enjoy
the "talks" because now that I am an "author of books"
I can talk about important stuff! Like why weed should
be legal...stuff like that!
I am going to call Greg about my electric car when I
finish with this email. I just thought about it so I

Ok We shot the first day of our reality show pilot.
Actually the second day....Don't know what to say
because it needs editting. We shot some footage of the
Lopez Show and we have been invited down to the stage
to be introduced and to take a curtain call...We were
headed down to La Jolla for a gig this weekend at the
comedy club so we postponed the drive to do the bow.
All this for the "Reality Show". George and I talked
about Cheech's Duets and the possibility of us
"reuniting". George is a huge Cheech and Chong fan and
he would love to see us back doing the classics but I
told him Cheech wants to "go streight" and he said he
would talk to him. George and Cheech are golfing
buddies. I tried playing golf but it didn't take. I'd
rather Tango...More fun holding a warm lady then a
cold golf club eh? Oh I had my ozone treatment and I
feel so damn good! No more hacking and
coughing...lungs are clear and workng great! Can't
wait to go back smoking the herb again! I will as soon
as the Democrats are back in power and the Republicans
are back in jail! So everyone drive carefully because
I will be out there tonight with cameras so watch for
a black Prius...it will be me....tc

Hey now...Just finished with the George Lopez show. I
played his neighbor who he mistakes for a sex
offfender. We had a great time laughing between takes
and during takes. George is a comic genius. His
standup is the best by far...he is the One Amigo that
jumped ahead of the pack and stayed there.
I started filming everything for a Reality show
staring Shelby and Chong. We haven't shot Shelby yet (
tomorrow) but we shot the Lopez stuff and some in the
animation studio with me mate Paulie. George and I
talked about Cheech and why he has changed so
radically. I told him how :Louis Valdez, the movie
director once critized Cheech for doing the "Cheech"
character ( Pedro in Up In Smoke) because it some how
insulted the "Chicano" community and George replied
"Thats not the way the Chicano community took it. They
loved the Cheech character and would love to see him
doing that character again". They sure don't want to
see him trying to do the Duets again...Anyway thats
the news of the day from your favorite stoner....peace

Hey everyone...I am doing the George Lopez show early
tomorrow Wednesday 18th...I play a Mexican neighbor
George mistakes for a pervert. Sounds like a real
stretch for me...the pervert part. I have all of about
five lines but the pay is decent and George is an old
comic buddy. We worked a couple of gigs together back
in the day. I don't really miss television
though....the get there early and sit around doesn't
thrill me like it used to. I d rather do stand-up
cause you work at night and you meet the fans.
Cheech called me about doing a play in Vegas
unfortunatly I am booked through the next two years.
We are starting a Reality show tomorrow with me going
to the Lopez show the very first shot...I am so
excited....well got to get my few hours sleep then its
off to La La land and a paycheck....tc

Hey mates!, I have been hanging with my Australian
friend Paul Power animator extrodiniare! So the mate
phrase is starting to catch on big time! Couldn't use
that phrase in jail however. You would end up with a
"mate" if you know what I mean. Anyway, we have been
hacking away at our comic book soon to be a feature
film. It's like old times when Cheech and I did the
records (cd's to you youngsters)...work a bit then go
have lunch and chat a bit. Get new ideas then come
back and ...chat a bit more! Then take a nap (me) then
drive over the hill top the Palisades...watch tv for a
bit ...write on the play...wander around in my roof
top garden where I grew some great medical hemp! I
refuse to call it marijuana because thats the plant's
slave name...its peaceful creative name is hemp. As in
Hemp for Victory. Lets all make a vow to call it hemp
ok? deal? and when ever anyone wants to debate the
pros and cons of "hemp" offer no resistance! Thats
right "resist not evil" and agree quickly with your
adversary. Ignorant people love to spout off about
everything they know nothing about...thats why they
are called ignorant! Agree quickly then leave when
ever you get the chance. Resist not! If you don't feed
the flames of discontent it ( the wrong thought) will
have nothing to power its misleading and untruth
arguements. You cannot have a one sided arguement. Do
not feed negative energy...ignore it and it will go
away! We know we are right when we talk about the
superior herb! And those who know ...know!
And those who don't must learn sooner or later! Now if
only I could listen and take my own advice! Maybe
someday....Well we are off to San Jose California...me

a wellness center

Dudes! Thank you for your responses...I do have the
best fans..and that is why I will always be the
Chong...If it works don't fix it! My writing partner
Paul Power did a Cheech and Chong cartoon strip for us
when we appeared in Australia in the 70's...We are
back working together after 30 years and it is great!
The strip has us laughng like crazy and the good news
is we have the tecnology to feature a bit of what we
are doing on the 'net. So stay tuned and as soon as I
figure out how we will give you all a taste of Shelby
and Chong asap...tc I recioeved an ozone treatment
today and I feel a bit woozy. The ozone is injected
very slowly into the veins to combat the "bad"
bacteria in the body. The oxygen kills the bad stuff
but leaves the good alone unlike anti-biotics which
kills everything ( until the germs learn how to become
immune) Ozone is pure oxygen and natural so the body
doesn't suffer other problems caused by the "cure". I

It is now Tuesday morning Oct 10....almost three years
to the day when I went to prison. I went in Oct 11th
03....Boy how time flies...not when you are in prison
unfortunately! But its over and I have a book sellijng
like crazy! I just heard from my New York agent and
Simon Spotlight Pictures want another book from me!
How cool is that? I am a writer! I have been working
on a comic book called Shelby and Chong featuring my
wife Shelby and the Chong doing all sorts of crazy
stuff. Sort of like Crumb, and the Furry Freak
Brothers but more detailed drawing and crazy Chong
humor. We did a great section where I watch the show
Duets over and over as Cheech sings and gets dissed by
Marie Osmond..I assume this will be one of the books
that will be published by Simon and Shuster. I did a
book signing and talk at the Imix Book Store in Eagle
Rock ( LA) . The talk was at the American Legion Hall
which was quite ironic considering how much I dissed
the Republicans. It was like I was in their home
slamming them. The fans who showed up were some cool
people. I do attract some beautiful people. All ages
too! Some grandmother and grandfathers with their kids
and grandkids! It was a nice way to spend a Sunday
afternoon in Los Angles. Well I have to get to work
writing more books...This is crazy! Two more book
deals! I love it....peace...tc

Is this Universe perfect or what? Everything bad
happened when the Bush Republicans were in office. You
name it it happened. 9/11, Katrina, Abramoff
(jerkoff!) Tom Delay, and now Foley the pediphile,
next it will be Bill ORilly caught for what?...didling
little farm animals most likely...Oh yeah Global
warming, obscene gas prices..and the beat goes on...If
the Dems don't take control this election....well I
don't know what will happen then. These Republicans
Gone Wild will have to eat each other...actually they
are starting to do just that. Boy doen't Bill Clinton
look good now? Hey Hillary Clinton looks great!
Especially compared to these clowns.
When is the voting day? I know it's in November but
what is the exact date? We hav e to make that special
effort to vote back our way of life which by the way
was pretty good! We need to get back to the "garden".
We need a 4 year recoup time. We need time to heal the
environment so lets plan on 8 years! Iraq needs a lot
of TLC...Iraq's butt is sore from getting reamed by
dick Chaney's Halliberton. They don't even use
lubericants...the price of oil is way too high! You
see even if you can't vote find someone who can and
insist on making sure he or she votes when the time is
right.
Stoners please listen and put down the pipe and no one
will get hurt! I am serious the bush boys want nothing
more than an excuse to harass the general population.
Lets not give them any reason to distract voters...we

thought yesterday was Sunday....today is Sunday! But I
have a book signing to do in Eagle Rock ( near
Pasedena) I better get directions...I can get lost in
a closet!
The signing is at Imix Bookstore at 3 pm...in Eagle
Rock...I love eagles! We have plenty of them in
Vancouver B.C. in a place called Brakendale..It is
illigal to posess an eagle feather unless you are a
native...I am learning about the laws of ther
US...scarey what the can harass you for these days.
Yeah the Republicans are reaping what they sowed
now...We can't relax though...need to vote...I sugest
every stoner stop smoking until we get the Dems in and
the thieves out...We need to get of our lazy pot
fueled butts and vote! Then we can start changing

Ahh what a glorious day! Sundays are the best...Sleep
until noon...eat breakfast..read the paper.. Get
pissed off at the Bush criminals...read the comics to
get rid of the taste..Get on the "net..check out the
emails...Find out I missed an interview..thought it
was tomorrow..Send a couple of books to friends I
haven't seen in thirty five years! Now that is a trip!
Seeing someone you remember only as a kid now he is an
old man...I am old but I still feel the same
inside...must be all the pot I've smoked. Pot keeps
you young especially when you go to jail..early to bed
and early to rise in jail! I recieved a couple of
letters from fellow felons...Got to write back...Its
hard keeping the letter writing uo to date. So many
things to do...watch television. I love the Dancing
with the Stars...cause I am a Tangaro myself! Thought
of doing a show called Dancing with the Stoners...but
the show Cops already does that every time they try to
arrest some meth freak....Well gotta run... I am going
to check out the Ace my electric 'lowrider". Supposed

Hey now it is Friday Oct 6th 06 and I am back in Los
Angeles. Had a wonderful time in Victoria BC where I
signed books and connected with my old friend from the
50's Patrick Lane. Patrick is a writer with a best
seller out right now titled There is a Season...I
would advise everyone with a brain to buy this
masterpiece...Now this guy can write! Pat has been
following my career but I didn't realize he was a
writer until a few years ago when I met his brother
John and he told me. Again get his book I guarantee
you will not put it down until you have enjoyed every
moment.
Now my book is doing well. I will be in San Deigo next
week and performing at the comedy club in La Jolla
which is near San Deigo so come on by and say hi....I
am still on my pot fast..almost three years now! Time
flys when you are streight. I look forward to the time
when I will be able to smoke my dope with out fear of
going to jail! Oh well a few more weeks until the
election. Remember we all vote Democrats...Democrats..
Democrats...Lets get them back in power and stop the
insanity! Peace....TC

more Cheech

Hey This is so cool! I love the response to this blog.
I am not knocking Cheech for doing other projects. Hey
this is a free country and you are allowed to follow
your dream regardless however don't forget where you
come from and respect your fans who gave you the fame
that enabled you to follow your "dream". It hurt me
when Cheech agreed to do a solo movie "Born in East
L.A. because he cut me out entirely which hurt me
financially as well as professionally. I wrote most of
the material that went into our projects records,
movies,songs etc yet I shared 50 - 50 with Cheech. I
directed four of the movies officially and two
unoffically ( Up In Smoke and Things Are Tough All
Over) and I still shared 50- 50 with Cheech. Cheech
had first billing and I put his wife Rikki in Next
Movie even though she had no previous acting credits
or experience. I bent over backwards to please Cheech
in everyway I could yet when he recieved an offer to
do a movie without me he took it. He broke up the
team. When I asked about our act he said and I quote
"its yours" " you got it".And he removed every vestage
of Cheech and Chong from his house.
Cheech cut me out of his life as well. I was not
invited to his wedding to Patty. And as you see he
cut me out of his credits on "Duets". Cheech recently
offered me a job through his manager where I would be
part of a cast of a play he was writing. However if I
was to sign on I would have to give up alll my own
projects including performing live with Shelby. I
would have to quit writing the play Up In Smoke and I
would be just an actor. Of course I turned this
fabulous offer down.
The insulting part of the offer was that it came from
Ben
Cheech's manager and not Cheech.
I really don't know the Cheech that recently performed
on Duets. I am like our fans, whom I adore, who would
rather rent Up In Smoke when they need a Cheech and
Chong fix because the Cheech in Up In Smoke is the
Cheech I will always remember and love.......tc
